Montéz Louria was born in Baltimore, MD as Montéz Jennings. (She adopted the pen name Montéz Louria to distinguish between academic and non-academic work.) She is currently a dual degree graduate student at Chapman University. Montéz studies English and Creative writing. During August 2020, she drove across the country to settle in Orange, California.
